Dr. John is Board-Certified in both Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She recently moved to Colorado from Rochester, New York where she was a practicing clinician on teaching faculty at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital. She has over eight years of post-training experience in internal medicine and endocrinology. She completed her Endocrine, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship training at Rush University in Chicago, and she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University. She has participated in research studies involving prevention and treatment of diabetes. Her special interests include treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and Thyroid disorders. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Thyroid Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism.

She enjoys hiking, bicycling, theatre and spending time with her family. Dr. John has made Colorado her home with her husband, Dr. Sunil Nayak, and their dog, Sydney.

	Dr. John and her staff, will be providing consultation services in endocrinologic issues such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, adrenal disease, pituitary disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or other hormonal issues related to menstrual cycles, and changes in male gonadal function. Dr. John's special interests include thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, abnormal thyroid function tests, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer, as well as diabetes mellitus covering both type I and type II, pre-existing diabetes with pregnancy, gestational diabetes, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring. She is certified in ultrasound of the thyroid, and in ultrasound-guided thyroid biopsy, a service that she will provide in her office. Dr. John is also certified in bone densitometry and will provide consultation regarding bone disease, calcium and parathyroid disorders, and osteoporosis. She and her staff will be pleased to provide compassionate and comprehensive consultation in all disorders involving general endocrinology/hormone disorders.
